About Adrian:

Prior to founding Szendel PLLC, Adrian spent the better part of a decade at a mid-sized Wall Street law firm specializing in complex litigation and transactions where he gained substantial experience litigating multi-million dollar disputes on behalf of large corporations in state, federal district and bankruptcy courts around the nation. He also has considerable experience in alternative dispute resolution having served clients in domestic and international arbitrations throughout the United States as well as in Japan. Adrian has gone head-to-head with adversaries from some of the largest, most prestigious law firms in the United States on numerous occasions. He has achieved precedent-setting victories on summary judgment on behalf of clients in state and federal court litigation and has negotiated numerous complex settlements. He has also helped to facilitate major corporate transactions through careful drafting and negotiation of complex agreements.

Adrian has represented individuals and businesses from a broad range of industries including manufacturers of high-technology and industrial products and components, financial services institutions, insurance companies, music publishing companies, general contractors, subcontractors, real estate developers, and retail establishments.

In addition to owning and operating his law practice, Szendel PLLC, Adrian volunteers his time to serve as a pro bono attorney for the New York County Lawyers' Association Legal Counseling Project. There he counsels low-income individuals who are considering filing for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, or who are dealing with potential litigation including employment-related disputes, such as wage and hour, discrimination and wrongful discharge, or facing landlord-tenant disputes.

Adrian is active in several bar associations and organizations. He is a proud member and Barrister on the Denis J. McInerney NYCLA American Inn of Court, which is a select group of attorneys and judges focused on promoting excellence, professionalism and ethical awareness amongst the bench and bar. He is a member of the New York State Bar Association, New York County Lawyers' Association and New York City Bar Association. He is also a proud member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, an organization dedicated to protecting the rights of consumer debtors in bankruptcy.

Adrian received his Juris Doctor with honors from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law. During law school, Adrian served as Notes Editor for the Case Western Reserve Law Review. He was also a member of the Niagara International Moot Court Team and director of the National Moot Court Team. Adrian also served as a Judicial Extern for The Honorable Alice M. Batchelder, now Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Adrian is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey state courts. He is also admitted to practice in federal courts including the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, Northern and Western Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey.
